WOLF TIME UPDATES
Missed the last PTA Meeting? Here are the highlights from our staff regarding Wolf Time for the 2017-18 school year.
A Message From Ms. Skelton
Dear WMS PTA,
Thank you for the wonderful “Snack Attack”. I have never seen such a display of sweet and savory treats! I tried to eat one of each, but quickly realized it would be impossible. Still, that didn’t stop me from trying that day and the next!
Teachers and staff are planning for next year. All teachers are engaged in determining the schedule for “Wolf Time”, also known as ATSS (Arlington Tiered System of Support). Grade 6 Core teachers are looking at a variety of schedules to determine what will work best for student learning. For the 2017-18 school year, electives will not be blocked. Other middle schools in Arlington will be continuing or implementing modified block schedules for next year. Our plan is to study our experiences and the experiences of the other middle schools. We will apply the “lessons learned” as we consider school wide implementation.

Principal Search Process

Welcome to Our New Site
Thank you to everyone for responding to our winter website survey! We were delighted to have over 100 replies. We tallied our results, read every comment, and tried to incorporate as much of your input as possible into our updated site.
You may have noticed that the Williamsburg and APS websites are greatly improved, as well, and are much easier to navigate than previously. Rather than duplicate too much content from these sites, we’ve added links in our sidebars to your most requested topics. We hope they get you quickly to the information you need. Let us know if you think we’ve found the right balance or if there’s more you’d like to see.
