Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences are being held on Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6. Please note that Thursday, March 5 is a regular school day. Parent-Teacher conferences are conducted arena-style. This means that parents do not make individual appointments to meet with their students’ teachers. Instead, parents can come at a convenient time for them during the designated hours. Teachers will be located in the cafeteria, gymnasium and various classrooms. Please click here to view the teacher locator maps. Printed copies of this map will also be available upon arrival to WMS during conference times.
Conferences will be held at the following times:
Thursday, March 5 – 4:30 – 7:30 pm
Friday, March 6 – 7:30 – 11:30 am

Rising 7th Grade CRFs Due

Earlier this month, school counselors met with current 7th and 8th grade students for academic planning in preparation for the 2020-21 school year. Current 6th grade students will meet with their school counselor today or tomorrow through their math class for academic planning.
After students meet with their school counselor, they will receive their Course Request Form (CRF) to fill out. Once the CRF is complete and it includes a parent/guardian signature, please have your student return it to their school counselor. If your student misplaces their CRF, they may ask their school counselor for another copy or visit here for a copy:
Course Request Forms are due to school counselors by the following dates:
Already completed – Rising 9th Grade
Already completed – Rising 8th Grade
March 4 – Rising 7th Grade

WMS Snack Attack – Donations Needed!

The WMS PTA is hosting a SNACK ATTACK for 180 teachers and staff on March 11 from 11 – 1 pm. As in past years, we need your help/donations for this much appreciated gesture for the hardworking WMS staff. Please sign up here to donate to the menu and/or help with setup, staffing, and cleanup. Feel free to sign up for one or multiple slots – all donations are appreciated. The PTA will provide sandwich platters and decorations.
All contributions (marked for SNACK ATTACK and in disposable serving trays) need to be dropped off by 10 am in the Staff Lounge the day of the event. Non-perishables may be dropped off the day before. Please reach out to Lee Thompson (703-403-2698) with any questions or to coordinate an alternate drop off location/time.
